Gregory M. Jones
GregJones resizedGregory M. Jones, Managing Principal of Divestiture Partners/Corporate Development Group is a finance, corporate development and general management executive with over 20 years of experience.

Divestiture Partners/Corporate Development Group is a boutique mergers and acquisition and strategic advisory firm offering a unique combination of strategy development and execution.   DP/CDP is the bridge to improved enterprise value for companies. He offers clients the unique combination of investment/deal experience and general management expertise. He has participated in and completed transactions in excess of $2 Billion. Those transactions include debt underwritings, credit facilities, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and partnerships. Mr. Jones began his investment career at JP Morgan and Lehman Brothers where he was an investment banker for general infrastructure, healthcare, governmental and industrial clients. At United Technologies/Pratt & Whitney he was responsible for business development for Space Propulsion, Military Engines and the Power Systems Business Units. Additionally, he led the new ventures group at Pratt & Whitney establishing and commercializing new businesses. His expertise includes strategy development and execution, business capitalization, business integration, planning and analysis, and delivering return on investments according to plans.

Mr. Jones is a Board Member of the Hartford Hospital, Founder and Chairman of the Omega Foundation of Hartford, a Foundation focused on addressing disparities in education and health.   He also the Founder and Chairman of The Skin in the Game Foundation, a Hartford based charitable foundation focused on making an impact by providing access and exposure for individuals to enhance their lives.
Mr. Jones earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania; a Master in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University and B. S. from Morgan State University.
 
 

Kim B. Hawkins



Kim B. Hawkins, Director, Business Resource Center is a lifelong resident of the Greater Hartford area. She received her early childhood education in Hartford and satisfied her secondary requirements and graduated from Bloomfield High School. A Tuskegee (Institute) University graduate, Kim received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with additional studies at Trinity, Construction Institute and other career related courses.

Ms. Hawkins has a solid construction background having worked in a family owned construction business. She joined Hartford Economic Development Corporation (HEDCo) in 1995 and held her position there until her appointment to her current position at the Business Resource Center. The business resource center is a comprehensive, one-stop services center that provides quick and easy access to professional consultation, resource materials, and, action-oriented training in the skills/techniques needed to grow business in the Greater Hartford area.  The Business Resource Center exists to help, create and encourage small business to expand the scope and profitability of their business.

As Director of the Business Resource Center, Ms. Hawkins is responsible for the provision of resources that will enable entrepreneurs to be successful at every level of the small business experiences. A believer and builder of collaborations, Ms. Hawkins has brought together a diverse group of technical assistance providers, entrepreneurs, construction associations, labor unions and funders to meet the needs of those actively seeking assistance to achieve success in their business objectives.
Kim Hawkins resides in Bloomfield CT with her two sons Ryan and Justin. She is active in many civic organizations and enjoys liturgical dance, reading and all sports.


 
Brian C. Lichtenstein
Brian C. Lichtenstein is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Hartford, from which he holds respectively, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Master of Science in Professional Accounting.  Brian Lichtenstein is the owner of Lichtenstein Financial, LLC.  Lichtenstein Financial, LLC provides varied and comprehensive financial services to its clients through a family of companies.  Clients can choose to be serviced in one of three suburban offices in Central Connecticut: Glastonbury, Middletown, and West Hartford.

Jerry W. Long
JerryLong resizedJerry W. Long has been in the Computer Consulting business since January 1988, first as the owner of PC Consultants until 1994.  In 1994 Mr. Long founded PCC Technology Group, LLC.  PCC is a 2001, 2002 and 2003 winner off the Fast Fifty award given by Deloitte and Touche, and the winner of the Business Development Grant given by Fleet Development Ventures.
PCC Technology Group is an Information Technology services firm specializing in: Elections Software Solutions, Business Domain Expertise and IT Solutions, Customized Application Development and Maintenance Services, Business Intelligence, Quality Assurance and Testing, & Business Process Outsourcing.

Mr. Long has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. Mr. Long started his career with the General Electric Company and remained there a total of 13 years.  He then moved to Connecticut General Company (later known as CIGNA) for a 2-year stint, followed by a 4-year assignment with The Hartford Insurance Group.  He founded PC Consultants in 1988.

Mr. Long has served on the Board of Directors for the CT Business & Industry Association (CBIA); a Director for The Simsbury Bank; former Vice Chairman of Charter Oak State College Board of Trustees; a Director for Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation; Chairman of the Bloomfield Economic Development Commission; Past Chairman of the MetroHartford Chamber of Commerce; Past President of the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce; Board of Director for Rideshare Company, a member of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church; a Director for the Hebrew Home Corporation; an Advisory Board member of the Institute for Industrial and Engineering Technology at Central Connecticut State University; Past Treasurer of the Hartford Chapter of Black Data Processing Associates; and a Past Director of the Hartford Education Foundation.  He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and the Rotary Club of Bloomfield. Mr. Long is the father of 3 adult children and resides in Bloomfield Connecticut with his wife Marjorie.
 
 

Kevin R. Joiner, Esq.
JPR resizedKevin Joiner, Esq. is a partner in the Law Firm of Joiner, Ricketts, Andrews, and Henry, in Hartford, CT.  He has a general law practice with extensive business formation, real estate, civil, commercial, criminal, and insurance litigation experience.  Attorney Joiner earned his J.D. at the University of Connecticut School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University.  Attorney Joiner is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Metro Hartford Chamber of Commerce; Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity; National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; George W. Crawford Black Bar Association.

Attorney Joiner is a lifelong resident with extensive community service involvement in the Greater Hartford Area. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Steering Committee Chairman of the Greater Hartford Male Leadership Conference, Member of the Phoenix Society Inc., and a coach in the Hartford Northend Little League.  He is a past Vice-President of the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s Young Professionals, Bloomfield High School Boys Basketball Coach, and mentor in the Kappa League Leadership Program.

Attorney Joiner developed Joiner’s Justice.  Joiner’s Justice is a 15-week program whose mission is to foster the development of stable citizens, families, and communities through a quality comprehensive workshop that focuses on bridging the gap between the criminal justice system, ex-offenders, family and employees.  Kevin currently resides in Bloomfield with his wife.
